I have some new posts at Musical Dreams and Angelic Dreams that you should check out if interested.  I have a lot on my plate but will hopefully be back to writing poetry within this year. I appreciate all my readers and hope that you all will enjoy the other two ‘connected’ blogs as well. Posts on Muscial Dreams is more of a daily life blog and reveals some insight into what I have been handling; along with my nerdy insights to topics I am interested in.  Angelic Dreams is where I like to post my short stories.  I am currently gathering information for a religious post on Musical Dreams.

Thank you all for reading and hope to see you ‘here’ soon.

tap tap tap

Sound asleep I was
When the tap tapping had begun
What could it be, this
Tap tapping I hear so loudly

The sound arose from
My window, it frightened me
Chilled me to my core
This tapping from a dead man….

flames leap and dance

the air wonders briefly how it

survived without such warmth

I wonder what I should do

Should it rhyme and be long

Or should I write a haiku

This poem plagues my thoughts

Indecisiveness in it’s form

Indecisiveness in it’s subject

Should I not write at all

Or should they all be written

My heart aches to write!

Why is this so hard?

My voice yearns to be heard

In the form of written word

My voice, silent all these years

Awaits my decision

On which poem to write

It awaits my decision with patience

I will write this poem

I will write and be heard

Come On, Says The Moon

hanging from the sky

beams of starched white moonlight

beckons me softly

underneath these tides

a pull, the sea is calling

answer cautiously, this sea

drowns it’s prisoners

only the free have forgot

these tides, this pull, is calling

my eyes do not know
how to look at you
the fire I started
surrounds my body
from within
it is comforting
while the waves
hit my feet
and disappear
how is it the clouds
know my pain
when all the world
can do is laugh
swim to me
come back to me
with the ease of the ancients
I know your soul
it bounces off my web
and settles
in the belly of giants

Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away. Nahum 1:3

Psalm 144

Praise be to the LORD my ROCK
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
He is my loving GOD and my
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my SHIELD, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.

O LORD, what is man that you care
for him,
the son of man that you think of him?
Man is like a breath;
his days are like a fleeting shadow.

Part your heavens, O LORD, and COME DOWN;
touch the mountains, so that they smoke.
Send forth lightning and scatter,
the enemies;
SHOOT YOUR ARROWS and rout them.
Reach down your hand from on high;
deliver me and rescue me
from the mighty waters,
from the hands of foreigners
whose mouths are full of lies;
whose right hands are deceitful.

I will sing a NEW SONG to you,
on the ten stringed lyre I will
make music to you,
to the ONE who gives VICTORY to
who delivers his servant David
from the deadly sword.

Deliver me and rescue me
from the hands of foreigners
whose mouths are full of lies,
whose right hands are deceitful.

Then our sons in their youth
will be like well nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillars
carved to adorn a palace.
Our barns will be filled
with every kind of provision.
Our sheep will increase by
by tens of thousands in our fields;
our oxen will draw heavy loads.
There will be no breaching of walls,
no going into captivity,
no cry of distress in our streets.

Blessed are the people of whom this
is true;
blessed are the people whose GOD
is the LORD.

In Jesus’ name we pray.

Oh, This Darkness

the bubble of truth
into the garden
of obscenities
absent though your heart
may be
I cherish the thoughts
that race
into oblivion
darkness floods the
ever present
knowledge of light
flowing steadily
this anti thesis
of eternal water
troublesome and ever present
in the mind
of the believer
this darkness
oh, this darkness
I see into your soul’s eye
